Dr. Bahareh Ghanbari BSc(PT), MSc(PT), PhD (Rehab Sciences), CAFCI, CGIMS Registered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Chronic Pain Management R2P Certified Concussion Therapist Certified Women’s Health Therapist Bahareh specializes in the treatment of chronic pain, muscular and orthopaedic injuries. She received her doctorate degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of British Columbia and her Baccalaureate and Master’s degrees in Physiotherapy. Bahareh’s clinical experience includes soft tissue release, joint mobilization/manipulation, manual therapy, postural re-education, injury prevention, and exercise rehabilitation for various conditions such as back and neck strains, knee and shoulder injuries, joint replacement and sport injuries. Bahareh practices Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS), a technique for treating pain in the absence of tissue damage or inflammation. IMS is useful for headaches, whiplash, backache, tennis elbow and frozen shoulder. Bahareh has pursued her interest in Women’s Health and Pelvic Health physiotherapy: this includes rehabilitation to address incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and for osteoporosis. For women who are pregnant, and new Mothers, she is trained in the management of Diastasis of Rectus Abdominis (DRA) and treats chronic pelvic girdle pain. She is also certified R2P Concussion Management therapist, and also certified in Anatomical Acupuncture for musculoskeletal pain. Bahareh’s research focus and experience involves the study of chronic pain and muscle dysfunction using Near Infrared Spectroscopy, MRI, muscle strength testing, physical activity monitoring and quality of life in people with chronic musculoskeletal and cardiopulmonary conditions. She has acted as a teacher’s assistant in clinical skills and research methodology courses, and as a clinical examiner within the Department of Physiotherapy at UBC (Master of Physiotherapy program). She also acts as a reviewer for many scientific journals on areas of chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions. Outside of work, Bahareh enjoys Yoga, Skiing, cycling and swimming.

Dr. Stella Seto, ND, is dedicated to providing individualized natural medical treatment towards optimal health and disease prevention. She is a licensed naturopathic physician with prescriptive authority who welcomes all patients.

Born and raised in Vancouver she obtained a degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia.

She completed her four-year naturopathic medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and was part of the Sports and Pain Management Group, receiving extra training in increasing athletic performance and the prevention and management of pain.

Acupuncture, myofascial release, IMS, pelvic and spinal alignment, laser therapy, nutrition, and exercise were primarily used.

She traveled to India to further her complementary and integrative medicine education, broadening her ability to provide optimal care for her patients.

Dr. Stella Seto, ND, continued her training at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, working at the acupuncture hospital to increasing her acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine skills.

Facilitated through the University Of British Columbia Faculty Of Pharmaceutical Sciences she obtained her pharmaceutical prescribing authority and is able to order Life Labs, allowing her to determine and optimize management of your health care needs. Diet and lifestyle will always be addressed in treatment.

Dr. Seto has a special interest in hormone balance and pain management.

She received training in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy through The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and LP3 Network.
